IDF Reserve Doctor Saves the Life of a Palestinian Man

Captain Dr. Alejandro Murninkas’s yearly reserve service was unlike any other this year.  On Monday morning he was paged to arrive as soon as possible to a building site outside Jerusalem. When Alenjandro arrived at the scene, he saw a Palestinian man in critical condition, unconscious and breathing shallowly. The medics, lead by Alejandro, started treating the man, until his pulse steadied and his condition was defined as stable.

Alejandro is a reserve doctor in the Paratroopers Reservists Brigade, serving every year for a limited number of days as Chief Battalion Doctor. This year he was stationed at Halamish Base, located near Ramallah—where he was called to treat his patient.

A Jewish settler resists Israeli riot police enforcing a Supreme Court order to demolish nine homes in an outpost of the Amona settlement. Residents joined by thousands of other protesters raised barbed wire barriers to protect the houses and clashed violently with police. Over 200 people were injured, including 80 policemen. Ending violent international conflicts requires understanding the causal factors that perpetuate them. In the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, Israelis and Palestinians each tend to see themselves as victims, engaging in violence only in response to attacks initiated by a fundamentally and implacably violent foe bent on their destruction. Econometric techniques allow us to empirically test the degree to which violence on each side occurs in response to aggression by the other side.

139,678 tons of goods entered Gaza in December

Monthly crossing report shows that 4,373 trucks entered Gaza Strip from Israel in December

During the month of December, 4,373 trucks carrying 139,678 tons of goods entered the Gaza Strip from Israel through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Of the trucks, 1,242 were carrying food, 1,218 were carrying construction materials, 148 were carrying agricultural inputs, 63 were carrying clothes and footwear, 137 were carrying electric products, and 281 were carrying ceramics and plumbing. Transportation of cooking gas into the Gaza Strip continued with 3,446 tons.

Самый влиятельный духовный авторитет Палестинской автономии, муфтий Иерусалима Мухаммад Ахмад Хусейн, принял участие в состоявшемся на минувшей неделе торжественном заседании в честь годовщины основания движения ФАТХ. В своем выступлении он призвал правоверных истреблять евреев.


Муфтий напомнил об одном из хадисов, которые исламская традиция приписывает пророку Мухаммаду. Он гласит, что воскрешение из мертвых будет возможно только после того, как мусульмане объявят войну иудеям и перебьют их.


"Когда еврей спрячется за деревом или камнем, тот закричит: "О мусульманин, слуга Аллаха, еврей здесь, подойди и убей его!" - процитировал слова основателя ислама иерусалимский муфтий. Следует отметить, что особенно часто палестинские священнослужители вспоминали об этом хадисе в дни первой и второй интифады, оправдывая атаки террористов.


Призвавший к геноциду евреев религиозный деятель был не единственным, кто выступил в тот день с антисемитскими призывами. Как сообщает сайт IMRA, опубликовавший заявление Хусейна, ведущий торжественного заседания напомнил, что мусульмане ведут священную войну с евреями – потомками свиней и обезьян.


Как сообщает радиостанция "Аруц 7", вскоре после того, как видеозапись обращения муфтия появилась в Интернете, портал youtube.com заблокировал видеоканал опубликовавшего его института Palestinian Media Watch. Официальной причиной этого стало решение администрации, что публикация ролика противоречит политике портала

In response to yesterday's PMW video-bulletin which showed the PA Mufti's speech that Muslims' destiny is to kill Jews, YouTube has frozen PMW's account. All PMW videos are working except this one but the account is frozen and PMW cannot upload new videos for the next two weeks.

We have uploaded the video to a different server and it can now again be viewed from PMW's website.

The video that YouTube is calling "inappropriate" exposed the Palestinian Authority Mufti citing the Islamic tradition (Hadith) that anticipates Muslims' killing Jews as a precursor to the Hour of Resurrection. The Jews are also called the "descendants of the apes and pigs" by a Fatah moderator at the event. The following is the text of the video.
